Peninsula Hard Yards is Brian Bonnett, working out of Tooradin. When you ring, you get Brian. When he quotes the job, he is quoting his own time. When someone turns up in your driveway, it is him.

How he works

Particular about the parts most people notice.

Edges cut clean against the path. Hedges shaped rather than hacked flat. Beds weeded properly instead of skimmed over. Clippings gone when he leaves. Brian brings nearly 20 years of garden maintenance and landscaping experience to the properties he looks after, and it shows in the finish rather than in the sales pitch.

He would rather do fewer gardens well than run a big round badly. That is the reason for the fifteen suburbs—not because the area is exclusive, but because a tight run is the only way one person keeps the standard up across every garden on it.

He will also tell you when something is not worth doing. If a hedge is better replaced than saved, or a lawn needs a soil fix rather than another fertilise, you will hear that—even when the smaller job is the one that pays him less.

The work

What he does, and what he does not.

Lawns, hedges, pruning, weed control, garden beds, planting, mulch, edging, fertilising, irrigation and vegetable gardens. Everything from a small townhouse lawn up to a five-acre rural block, and either as a regular round or a single job done properly.

Brian has supplied recognised ChemCert agvet chemical-use training evidence, so where spraying is genuinely the right call in a home garden he can do it properly—and he will tell you when hand weeding is the better answer. That work stays inside suitable gardens associated with residential premises; agricultural, broadacre and commercial-site spraying is not offered. His irrigation work is credentialled too, within the recorded practitioner class, and unrelated water, backflow and electrical work stays with the appropriate trade.

Dangerous tree work, structural landscaping and regulated plumbing go to the right trade as well. Brian will say so, and point you somewhere sensible, rather than having a go and charging you for it.
